New behavior

Renewal of the SES Evolution solution signatory certificate

The certificate that signs the SES Evolution programs expires in December 2025.

Important: if your pool is equipped with agents protecting your SES Evolution backoffice components, security policies prior to version 2511a (and prior to version 2403e for 2.5 LTSB agents) will not work properly with SES Evolution programs published after December 2025 and signed with the new certificate.

If you find yourself in this situation, before updating the solution, you must:

  1. Ensure that the Stormshield – Protection of backoffice components policy, or the derived policy you may have created, in force on your pool, uses version 25110 (or 24034 for 2.5 LTSB agents) of the following rule sets:

    • Stormshield - Backend protection

    • Stormshield - Agents Handler protection

    • Stormshield - Administration console protection

  2. Deploy the update to your environment so that the agents protecting your backoffice apply the latest version of the rule sets.

  3. Check that the agents concerned have taken the modification into account.

CAUTION
If your pool does not use a Stormshield – Protection of backoffice components policy (official or derived), these actions are not necessary.
However, we recommend that you update your security policies to the latest version (2511a or 2403e).

Change introduced in version 2.7.1

Changed the communication port between components SES Evolution

As of SES Evolution 2.7.1, some communication ports between the individual components have been changed. For example, SES Evolution agents no longer communicate on TCP port 17000 but over HTTPS (443).

CAUTION
Actions on your part are required if you update the back office SES Evolution to version 2.7.1. It's essential to follow the Migration Guide, which will help you with this task.
